# Wanted: Community like the good old days I've been tired of new fancy tech for a long time now. For that reason I've been spending more and more time, over the past ten, or so, years, trying to find communities that are more like the good old days. I don't know if it's because I'm getting older, or if it's because I just want to be part of a community that is more like the ones I grew up in. Back then things were more exciting. There was a sense of exploration and discovery. We were all learning together, and it felt like we were part of something bigger than ourselves. We were all in it together, and we were sharing our knowledge and experiences. I got involved in the Tildeverse about eight years ago, and it didn't take long before I decided to start my own Tilde. I wanted to create a space and contribute to what I viewed as a cluster of modern BBS:es. Even if Tildeverse is a great place, it does not have the same vibe around the communications as communities had back in the day. I think that is because of the technology. We have all these new tools and platforms that are supposed to make our lives easier, but they often end up making things more complicated. So I wanted to put out this post to see if there are any other people out there who feel the same way. Are you tired of the new fancy tech? Do you miss the good old days? Are you looking for a community that is more like the ones you grew up in? If so, I would love to hear from you. I think it would be great to connect with like-minded people and share our experiences. Maybe we can even start a new community together. Get in touch if you have tips on how to find such communities, or if you want to start one together. I would love to hear from you. You can reach out by emailing me at sarmonsiill at tilde.guru. I look forward to hearing from you! PS. I do know of some places that are more like the good old days, like SDF and obviously Tildeverse. DS.
